Expertise

What Makes Emerald Different From Other Marketing Agencies?

We believe great marketing starts with understanding your business, not selling you a predefined package.

Instead of forcing clients into rigid service bundles, we provide flexible monthly hour allocations that can be used where they're needed most. As priorities change, your marketing support can change with them.

We also intentionally operate with a lean business model, avoiding many of the expenses that drive up agency pricing. By keeping overhead low and investing in efficient systems, experienced talent, and proven processes, we're able to deliver high-quality marketing support at a competitive cost.

Most importantly, we focus on outcomes. Our success is measured by your business growth, not by the number of deliverables produced.

What industries do you specialize in?

Emerald Strategic Marketing works with organizations across a wide range of industries, including technology, managed IT services, office technology, manufacturing, professional services, nonprofits, environmental organizations, restaurants and hospitality, authors, artists, and other growing businesses.

While we support both B2B and B2C companies, the majority of our experience is in B2B marketing, particularly within the SaaS, technology, managed services, and office technology sectors. These industries often require a strategic approach to lead generation, relationship building, long sales cycles, and complex buying decisions.

That said, we don't believe great marketing is limited to a specific industry. Our approach focuses on understanding your customers, your goals, and what makes your business unique. We combine proven marketing principles with industry research and market insights to create strategies tailored to your organization.

Whether you're a local Tampa business looking to increase visibility or a growing company seeking a stronger marketing partner, our goal is the same: helping you attract the right audience, generate opportunities, and support long-term growth.

If we aren't already familiar with your industry, we'll become students of it. Understanding your business is one of the first steps in every client partnership.

How long have you been in business?

Emerald Strategic Marketing was officially founded in January 2023, but our marketing experience extends well beyond the company's launch.

Before Emerald was established, our team spent years working as freelancers, consultants, and marketing professionals across a variety of industries. During that time, we helped businesses build brands, launch websites, improve search visibility, generate leads, create content, implement marketing technology, and develop strategies that support long-term growth.

The decision to launch Emerald came from a desire to bring together that collective experience into a more collaborative, scalable marketing partner for growing organizations.

Today, our clients benefit from both the agility of experienced independent marketers and the resources, processes, and strategic support of a dedicated marketing agency. We've intentionally built Emerald to provide senior-level expertise, personalized service, and flexible solutions that help businesses grow without the complexity and cost often associated with larger agencies.

While Emerald itself is a relatively young company, the experience behind our team represents years of hands-on marketing, business development, content creation, branding, website design, SEO, digital advertising, and marketing technology implementation.

In short, Emerald may have launched in 2023, but the expertise behind our work has been built through years of helping businesses grow.

How Is Emerald Different From a Large Marketing Agency?

Large agencies often have extensive teams, multiple departments, and layers of account management. While that model works well for some organizations, it can also increase costs and slow communication.

At Emerald, you'll work directly with experienced marketing professionals who understand your business and can quickly adapt to changing priorities. Our lean structure allows us to provide strategic guidance, hands-on execution, and responsive support without the overhead often associated with larger agencies.

For many growing businesses, this means personalized service, faster decision-making, and better value for their marketing investment.

Can you provide case studies or examples of past successful campaigns?

Why Choose Emerald Instead of Hiring Freelancers?

Freelancers can be an excellent solution when you need a specific skill or a one-time project. However, marketing often requires expertise across multiple areas, including strategy, branding, websites, SEO, content, social media, email marketing, analytics, and more.

With Emerald, you gain access to a broader range of marketing expertise through a single partnership. We help ensure your marketing efforts work together toward common business goals rather than managing multiple independent contractors and projects.

You get the flexibility of a freelancer with the strategic support and accountability of a marketing team.

How Does Emerald Compare to Building an In-House Marketing Team?

An in-house team offers valuable institutional knowledge and daily involvement in your business. However, hiring, training, salaries, benefits, technology, on-going management, and turnover can represent a significant investment.

Emerald provides access to experienced marketing professionals and specialized expertise without the costs and commitments associated with building a full internal department.

Many clients view us as an extension of their team, providing strategic leadership, execution, and specialized skills that would be difficult or expensive to hire individually.

For growing businesses, this often creates a more flexible and cost-effective solution while still delivering senior-level marketing expertise.

Am I Better Off Hiring Emerald or Hiring a Marketing Employee?

The answer depends on your goals and resources.

If you need a full-time marketing professional dedicated exclusively to your company every day, an internal hire may be the right fit.

If you need access to multiple areas of expertise, flexible support, strategic guidance, and experienced execution without the cost of recruiting and managing additional employees, Emerald may provide greater value and flexibility.

Many businesses find that partnering with Emerald gives them access to the capabilities of an entire marketing team without the expense and complexity of building one themselves.

Can Emerald Actually Generate Qualified Leads and ROI?

Yes, generating qualified leads and helping clients achieve a return on their marketing investment is one of our primary goals. However, successful marketing is a partnership, and results are influenced by several factors beyond marketing alone.

The strongest outcomes typically occur when there is alignment between business goals, marketing strategy, leadership involvement, and sales execution. Marketing can help attract the right audience, increase visibility, generate interest, and create opportunities, but converting those opportunities into customers often requires collaboration across the organization.

Several factors can impact lead generation and ROI, including:

  • The marketing budget available to support your goals
  • How competitive your industry and market are
  • The quality and clarity of your products or services
  • Access to key decision-makers who can provide direction and feedback
  • Having a dedicated point of contact within your organization
  • Timely communication and collaboration throughout projects
  • Willingness to trust and implement expert recommendations
  • The effectiveness of your sales process and follow-up efforts

Our most successful client relationships are collaborative. We listen carefully to your knowledge of the business, customers, and industry while bringing our expertise in strategy, messaging, digital marketing, lead generation, and growth. When both sides work together toward clearly defined goals, marketing becomes significantly more effective.

We will never guarantee a specific number of leads or a specific ROI because every organization, market, and sales cycle is different. What we do promise is a strategic, data-informed approach focused on continuous improvement, measurable outcomes, and helping your business attract the right opportunities.

Our goal isn't simply to generate more leads. It's to generate the right leads and help create sustainable business growth.

Strategy

What metrics do you use to measure the success of a campaign?

The metrics we track depend on your business goals, industry, and the specific objectives of each campaign. Depending on the initiative, we may monitor website traffic, search visibility, engagement, lead generation, conversion rates, sales opportunities, customer acquisition, or other key performance indicators that align with your growth goals.

However, effective marketing is about more than reporting numbers on a dashboard.

At Emerald, we look beyond the metrics to understand the human behavior driving them. We ask questions like: Why did one message resonate more than another? What motivated someone to click, engage, or take action? What challenges, priorities, frustrations, or opportunities is your ideal customer experiencing both professionally and personally?

Marketing isn't just about generating clicks. It's about understanding people.

That's why we take a holistic approach to measurement. We combine performance data with customer insights, industry trends, sales feedback, and real-world business outcomes to evaluate what's working and where improvements can be made. By understanding both the numbers and the behaviors behind them, we can make smarter decisions, refine messaging, and create marketing that connects with the right audience.

Our goal isn't simply to improve marketing metrics. Our goal is to help your business attract the right people, create meaningful engagement, and drive measurable growth.

How will you ensure your strategies align with our business goals?

We don't believe in one-size-fits-all marketing.

Every client engagement begins with understanding your business, your industry, your customers, and most importantly, your goals. Before recommending any strategy, we take time to learn what success looks like for your organization, the challenges you're facing, and the opportunities you want to pursue.

From there, we develop a customized marketing plan designed to support your specific objectives, whether that's generating qualified leads, increasing brand awareness, improving customer retention, launching a new service, or supporting long-term growth. We review our recommendations with you, gather feedback, and ensure everyone is aligned on priorities, timelines, expectations, and key performance indicators before moving forward.

Alignment doesn't stop after the initial planning process. We maintain ongoing communication, regularly review results, and adjust strategies as your business evolves. As market conditions, priorities, and opportunities change, we adapt our approach to ensure your marketing continues supporting your goals.

We also believe the best results come from collaboration. You bring deep knowledge of your business, customers, and industry. We bring marketing expertise, strategy, and execution. By combining those perspectives, we create marketing initiatives that are both strategically sound and aligned with the realities of your business.

Our goal isn't to implement marketing for marketing's sake. Our goal is to ensure every strategy, campaign, and recommendation supports meaningful business outcomes and helps move your organization closer to its goals.

Do you conduct competitor analysis or market research as part of your strategy?

Absolutely.

Understanding your market, competitors, customers, and industry landscape is an important part of building an effective marketing strategy. Before making recommendations, we take time to research your industry, service area, target audience, and the companies competing for the same customers and opportunities.

This research helps us identify what's working in your market, where competitors may have strengths or weaknesses, and where opportunities exist for your business to stand out. We may analyze messaging, websites, search visibility, content strategies, social media presence, customer experience, and other factors that influence buying decisions.

Sometimes our research uncovers successful ideas or tactics that can be adapted to your business. More importantly, it often reveals opportunities to do something different.

While it's helpful to understand what competitors are doing, we don't believe the goal of marketing is to simply blend in. In fact, some of the most successful brands are the ones willing to differentiate themselves rather than follow industry norms. We love helping clients identify unique strengths, perspectives, and value propositions that competitors can't easily replicate.

Competitor analysis isn't about copying others. It's about understanding the landscape so we can create a strategy that highlights what makes your business different.

Our goal is to help you become the company others are trying to imitate, not just another company following the crowd.

What role will we, as theclient, play in the strategy process?

We believe the best marketing results come from true collaboration.

While we bring expertise in strategy, branding, content, digital marketing, SEO, HubSpot, and lead generation, you bring something equally important: a deep understanding of your business, customers, industry, and goals. The most successful partnerships happen when those perspectives work together.

Your role is to provide insight into your business priorities, share feedback, help us understand your customers, and communicate changes in your goals or market. We encourage open and honest dialogue because the more we understand your business, the more effective our recommendations can be.

Our role is to guide the strategy, provide expert recommendations, execute the work, and help identify opportunities for growth. We don't simply take orders. We act as a trusted marketing partner, offering strategic guidance based on experience, industry knowledge, and data-driven insights.

As your business evolves, your marketing strategy should evolve too. That's why we regularly review performance, discuss new priorities, and adjust our approach as needed. Whether you're entering a new market, launching a new service, responding to industry changes, or pursuing new growth opportunities, we work alongside you to keep your marketing aligned with your business objectives.

Think of us as an extension of your team. You provide the vision and business expertise. We provide the marketing expertise, strategy, and execution needed to help achieve your goals.

Final Considerations

How do you handle confidentiality and data security?

We understand that effective marketing often requires access to sensitive business information, customer data, internal processes, and strategic initiatives. Protecting that information is a responsibility we take seriously.

Our standard client agreement includes confidentiality provisions that require us to protect any non-public information shared with us during our partnership. We only access the information necessary to perform our work and treat client data with the same level of care we expect for our own business.

In addition to contractual protections, we maintain cybersecurity best practices throughout our organization, including:

  • Secure password management and password policies
  • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) on critical systems
  • Endpoint protection and antivirus software
  • Firewalls and network security controls
  • Access controls that limit who can view client information
  • Secure cloud-based platforms and technology partners

We also take a practical approach to data security by using a streamlined technology stack and carefully evaluating the tools we use. Rather than giving every platform access to client data, we intentionally limit integrations and access permissions to reduce risk wherever possible.

If your organization has specific security requirements, compliance standards, vendor questionnaires, or IT policies, we're happy to discuss them during the onboarding process and work together to establish appropriate safeguards.

Our goal is simple: provide exceptional marketing support while protecting your business information with professionalism, discretion, and strong cybersecurity practices.

Do you have references we can contact?

Absolutely! We are happy to provide a list of references upon request.

Additionally, you can review our testimonials and case studies for more insight into our work.

Where are you located?

We are located in the Tampa Bay area. However we work remotely with companies throughout the country like: Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Colorado, Florida, and more.

We aren't restricted by our location, we are able to provide marketing services to anywhere in the U.S.

Pricing

What is your pricing structure?

Emerald Strategic Marketing offers flexible monthly buckets of hours based on the level of support your business needs. As your commitment increases, your effective hourly rate decreases, giving you greater value as your marketing needs grow.

Unlike agencies that lock you into rigid packages, our hours can be applied wherever they're needed most. One month may focus on website updates and SEO, while the next may prioritize social media, email marketing, HubSpot support, or campaign development. This flexible approach allows your marketing investment to adapt alongside your business goals, ensuring every hour is spent on the activities that create the greatest impact.

We also offer short-term projects and long-term partnerships, making it easy to get the support you need without paying for services you don't.

No hidden fees. Just transparent, experienced marketing support tailored to your business.

Are there any additional costs we should be aware of?

The only time there will be extra costs is for the pay-per-cost ads themselves. We create the ads however the cost to run them is not included. Additionally, if you are looking for professional photography and videography, that will be an additional cost.

How Much Does Emerald Marketing Cost?

Every business has different goals, timelines, and marketing needs, so pricing varies based on the scope of work. At Emerald Strategic Marketing, we offer both short-term projects and ongoing partnerships designed to fit your objectives and budget.

Unlike many agencies that require rigid packages, we create customized solutions that align with your priorities and growth stage.

Do You Offer Monthly Marketing Retainers?

Yes. We work with many clients through ongoing monthly marketing agreements.

Our retainer model is based on a set number of contracted hours each month. The more hours included in your engagement, the lower the effective hourly rate, giving you greater value as your marketing needs grow.

Monthly retainers are ideal for organizations that need consistent support for:

  • Digital marketing strategy
  • Website management
  • SEO and AEO
  • Social media marketing
  • Content creation
  • Email marketing
  • Graphic design
  • HubSpot consulting and support
  • Marketing leadership and planning

Unlike many agencies that require rigid packages, we create customized solutions that align with your priorities and growth stage.

What Should I Budget for Marketing?

Marketing budgets vary significantly depending on your industry, goals, competition, and growth objectives.

As a general guideline:

  • Small businesses often invest in targeted projects or limited monthly support.
  • Growth-focused companies typically invest in ongoing marketing programs that consistently generate awareness, leads, and opportunities.
  • Larger organizations may require comprehensive marketing support across multiple channels.

We help clients determine a practical investment level based on their goals, not a one-size-fits-all package.

Are There Any Hidden Fees?

No.

Transparency is one of our core values. Before work begins, you'll receive a clear scope of work outlining what's included in your project or monthly engagement.

If additional work is requested beyond the agreed scope, we discuss it with you first and obtain approval before moving forward.

No surprises. No unexpected invoices.

Why Are Your Prices Lower Than Many Marketing Agencies?

At Emerald Strategic Marketing, we've intentionally built our business to maximize value for our clients rather than support expensive agency overhead.

Unlike many traditional agencies, we don't maintain costly office leases, large administrative teams, or layers of management that increase client costs. We operate with a lean, efficient business model powered by smart technology, streamlined processes, and sustainable practices that help reduce operating expenses.

Our investment goes into what matters most: experienced marketing professionals, proven strategies, and the tools needed to deliver results. Clients work directly with senior-level marketers who focus on strategy, execution, and measurable business outcomes, rather than paying for multiple layers of account management.

We're also committed to operating efficiently behind the scenes. From maintaining a carefully selected technology stack to utilizing energy-efficient and solar-powered operations where possible, we constantly look for ways to reduce unnecessary expenses without sacrificing quality.

The result is high-quality marketing support, strategic expertise, and personalized service at a cost that is often significantly lower than larger agency models.

Our goal isn't to be the cheapest option. Our goal is to provide the greatest value for your investment and help growing businesses access expert marketing support without the overhead of a traditional agency.

How Do I Know I'll Get Value From My Investment?

We focus on marketing activities that support real business outcomes, including:

  • Increased brand awareness
  • More qualified leads
  • Better website performance
  • Improved search visibility
  • Higher engagement with target audiences
  • Stronger marketing systems and processes

We believe marketing should contribute to business growth, not simply generate activity.
